Expected number of intersections between a Gaussian curve and an algebraic hypersurface

Abstract: In this talk, we will discuss a recent application of Kac-Rice formula to derive the expectation of the number of intersections between a Gaussian curve and an algebraic hypersurface. We will revisit some special cases such as chi-square processes or polynomial matrix processes.
